We’re off to the beach! Shoreham Beach to be exact, positioned on the south coast at the mouth of the River Adur between Worthing and Hove.
The route takes us down to Reigate, Charlwood and Faygate ( with an option of riding through St Leonard’s Forest ) then on to Steyning. From there we follow the river to Shoreham and over the bridge to the beach. Swimming optional.
Our return follows the same route along the river towards Steyning before heading north east through the very picturesque South Downs National Park where we pick up the return route of our Brighton ride, that many of you have ridden before, it heads up past (the newly refurbished) Bolney Vineyard Cafe.
The last leg takes us back up past Colgate, Faygate and Parkgate, over Boxhill…then the familiar run to Balham.
