HALLILOO!

This ride is all about variety, packed into 100 km. It takes in hidden gems like the Woldingham Valley, winds through picturesque back lanes, and includes a stretch of freshly laid smooth tarmac. We’ll ride a section of the Avenue Verte (London to Paris), which leads us to the tranquil Mercer Lake for a relaxing coffee stop. Then it’s up and over to Chipstead before heading back to Balham.

And what about Halliloo, you ask? The route gets its name from Halliloo Valley Road, which we descend as we leave London.

Routes Notes:
Km 28.5. Left turn off Quarry Road on to Gangers Lane - uphill hairpin, make sure you’re in an easy gear as you approach the junction.
Km 29.5. Descent of Tandrige Lane. Go easy, steep at the top section through the woods.
Km 66. Cafe stop overlooking Mercers Lake.
