Our Route: We take a due-south course to Brighton, up and over Farthing Downs, down to Outwood, Turners Hill, Ardingly, Wivelsfield Green before the first big challenge of the day, Ditchling Beacon. Then it’s the long down hill all the way to Brighton. After a little traverse of the seafront we turn north for theroute back to Balham. Up and over the South Downs on Devil’s Dyke Road followed by a much flatter section that takes us to - The Bolney Wine Estate, ideally placed at the 112km | 70m point of our route. This will be our key stop at their cafe overlooking the vineyard. From there it’s only 10km | 6 m to Haywards Heath train station. If you choose to ride on for the full BBB, it’s an undulating stretch through the lanes past Colgate, Faygate, Charlwood and Leigh then just up Box Hill before the final run home!
PLEASE NOTE.
The route is planned using quiet lanes for the majority of the time however, there are a few short stretches where we use busier roads. Even though we start early on a Sunday morning please be attentive at all times.
